Has been a teacher in the Portland Public School District for 29 years with the past 19 years at Jackson Middle School.

Baseball:

• Attended Lincoln High School in Portland where he was an All City Baseball Player in 1969
• Played College Baseball at Lower Columbia Junior College and Portland State University
• Played Semi Pro Baseball in the Portland City League (1965-1975)
• Elected to the Northwest Collegiate Conference Hall of Fame in 2003

Coaching:

• Coached Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball in the Grant High School Area for 21 years
• Coached two years of summer baseball at Central Catholic High School
• Instructs annually in the Active and Oldtimers Youth Baseball Clinics
• On the Staff of Metro Baseball for the past 10 years
